Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 7, 2026
Appvior ("we", "us", or "our") operates Bloom ("Bloom", "the app"), a personal voice diary for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account identifiers. After onboarding, Bloom creates an anonymous account with a random user ID so we can provide your trial, purchases, and sync. This does not require your name or email. Linking Apple or Google is optional; if you link, we may receive identifiers and profile details from those services (such as your name and email, when available).
- Diary content. Voice recordings, transcripts, photos, moods, places, and text you create in Bloom.
- App preferences. Reminder settings, theme, language, accessibility options, and AI reflection style.
- Subscription status. Trial dates, purchase, and entitlement information processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat (tied to your account ID, including anonymous accounts).
- Device permissions. Microphone, camera, photo library, and notification access only when you grant them for features you use.
How we use information
- Provide journaling, transcription, reminders, and sync features.
- Generate AI reflections and insights from your journal content when you use those features.
- Process subscriptions and restore purchases.
- Improve reliability, security, and support.
- Understand how Bloom is used through aggregated analytics and diagnose crashes with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
Voice and AI processing
Bloom transcribes voice recordings on your device when possible. Diary entries can be shaped on your device from what you said. When you use Premium AI features — such as Ask your diary or weekly story insights — relevant excerpts may be sent to our secure backend and processed with AI to generate responses. AI output is for personal journaling support only and is not medical or professional advice.
How we store and sync data
Bloom stores your diary entries, preferences, and subscription status in our cloud infrastructure hosted by Supabase, associated with your anonymous or linked account, using encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls tied to your account ID. Some data may also be cached on your device for offline use.
Apple or Google sign-in is optional. Linking a provider does not create a second journal — it connects those credentials to the same account so you can restore access on another device. Until you link a provider, we do not receive your name or email from Apple or Google.
Third-party services
We use trusted service providers to operate Bloom, including:
- Supabase (anonymous and social authentication, database, storage, server functions)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (app usage and crash reporting)
- Apple Sign In and Google Sign-In (optional account linking)
- Content delivery networks for app resources such as speech models
These providers process data on our behalf according to their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not operate a public social feed or share your diary with other users.
- We do not use your diary content to train public AI models.
- We do not collect precise location via GPS for journaling.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can export your reflections from the app.
You can delete your account and related cloud data from Settings → Account → Delete account (subject to reasonable backup retention periods). For an anonymous account, signing out also deletes the account so a new session cannot reuse the same free trial.
Children's privacy
Bloom is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International users
If you use Bloom outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect your information consistent with this policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request. You can also manage Apple subscription billing in your Apple ID settings.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above.
